By Anonymous Freakin' Love It! I've been using Voila for a couple of years now. Right off the bat, it was marvelous, but the series of improvements since then has made it simpl(y) magnificent. If you want to copy what's on you monitor (a portion, or all of it (including sound)) I'm aware of nothing even close to Voila. Marvelously easy to use. Every capability in which I'm interested.

The only thing I'd like to see changed is the emptying of the trash. I wish it could be transferred from the Viola trash file into my Macintosh trash files so I can eliminate it more securely than is possible when simply emptying the Voila trash. Reviewed on June 22, 2014. By Anonymous SnagIt replacement on Mac! I am a switcher for the past one year and I was looking for a screen capturing app which is of equal qualit y of SnagIt on Windows for my tutorial work. I read reviews and heard of it in the Macworld Awards, so gave a try.

This is one of the most powerful screen capturing app coming close to SnagIt on Mac. I have been enjoying this app for quite some time. Some features have been handled better than SnagIt however, some areas needs to be improved.

When I conveyed this to the developers, they were very responsive and that's support! Someone who is missing SnagIt on Mac, or looking for advanced capturing and editing options should definitely buy this.

Video Screen Capture For Mac

If a picture paints a thousand words, then how many words does a video paint? While no one can give you a definitive answer, one thing is for sure: in this era of information, using only words to tell your stories is not enough. To stand on equal ground with everybody else you need to combine your words with images and videos in your narratives. To help you do that you’ll need a good screencasting app that can not only capture an image or a video of your screen but also help you manage them. One such app is (US$ 29.99 – free trial available), a screen capture app from Global Delight and the successor to the popular Voila. While it’s not free, Capto is one of the best alternatives out there being a fraction of the price of its competitors.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the app. Screen Recording and Video Editing One of the core features of Capto is screen recording and video editing. After the recording is done, you can do basic video editing to get the result that you want. You can cut the portion of the video, crop it to the size that you want, and trim its length. You can also add boxes, arrows, callouts, and text to make your video clearer or blur the part that you don’t want your audience to see, such as login information.
